Aija Lundahl - Huihui

Textile designer Aija Lundahl is the founder of the Huihui brand and Huihuitextile company. The products are unpretentious wool textiles: pleated skirts and scarves. Behind her is a strong desire and skill to develop timeless and durable products, easy favourite clothes.

The woolen Huihui skirt springs from tradition. Pull threads woven into the fabric have been used to pleat fabrics before. The passion is to develop traditional working methods to be more productive, tools to be modern, products to become classics. The fabric of Vekkihame has been designed with each pick precision according to zero waste principles. There is no waste even in the assembly phases. Made of 100% wool, the product is a durable, timeless, and carefree garment. Huihui's pleated skirt adapts to the wearer's shapes and is flexible in different situations. The light but warm skirt is easy to roll up in a Travel Sock, Matkasukka, and pack in a backpack. The fabrics are woven on power loom in Hämeenlinna, and the design, pleating, and manufacturing of fabrics and products are located in Tampere.
